Travis Underwood served 4 years in the Marine Corps as an 1142 Basic Engineer Equipment Electrical Systems Technician. My first duty station was in Iwakuni, Japan, supporting Marine Air Control Squadron 4. There, I maintained generators that powered weather, radar, communication, and air traffic control equipment, enabling remote flight operations and pilot communications. I participated in multiple exercises and missions, including joint operations with the Australian and Korean armies and disaster relief efforts in the Philippines and Thailand.
Following my time in Japan, I was stationed at the largest engineer battalion in the Marine Corps at Camp Pendleton. As quality control, I oversaw over $20 million in generators and equipment, supporting numerous units and missions.
After transitioning to the civilian sector, I managed K&M Power Systems, a generator service group, for 5 years. During my tenure, I transformed the start-up into a highly reputable service provider, recognized for its expertise and support of numerous electrical contractors and dealerships. Subsequently, I founded Total Power Generation, a comprehensive turnkey generator group, and acquired K&M Power Systems.
